This plate has a regular and solid form, with an open mouth and shallow belly characteristic of a large plate. The body of the plate is spacious, fully demonstrating a stable and imposing presence. The thick and sturdy body is a typical feature of Qing dynasty folk utilitarian wares. The clay is a typical grayish-white coarse material of the era, and the clay refinement is not as fine and exquisite as that of official kilns, retaining the natural and simple texture of folk kilns. After this pattern was introduced to the Central Plains, it came to symbolize prolonged blessings and continual life. This plate uses deep blue cobalt as the background, with white lines interweaving to form continuous swastikas, hand-drawn by folk artisans. The lines are smooth and compact, expressing wishes for enduring blessings and longevity. Surrounding the swastika pattern is a circle of curling auspicious cloud motifs, whose soft and graceful shapes symbolize protection and good fortune, subtly conveying the beautiful meaning of rising blessings and clouds holding longevity. Below the cloud pattern is a shallowly engraved regular script character "寿" (longevity), with a simple and straightforward stroke, integrating the abstract symbolic meaning with a concrete textual wish.
